As usual I went sale shopping after Christmas as this is when I buy the majority of my clothes. I normally rely on River Island as their reductions are pretty substantial and the clothes are lovely and good quality, but I was severely unimpressed this year. After trawling through old stock and hundreds of crop tops I ended up buying a dress I had had my eye on, some glittery leggings and this cat tshirt, which I love. As I had expected the dressing rooms were closed due to the sheer amount of people in the shop so I ventured to New Look to try on my purchases. When I tried the dress on I was almost choked by how high the collar was and the fit was horrendous. I also discovered that the zip was ripped at the back so a big disappointment there. I also had to return the leggings as they went with literally nothing I own.
Deflated by my failure to find some pretty new things to wear I went back into town earlier this week to return the clothes. However, all was not lost, New Look came to the rescue! I had been looking for some nice dresses to wear on nights out and I found two lovely ones.
This dress is so pretty and it was only €10! I love the print and the little lace details are a nice touch, they break the pattern a bit.
This is the second dress. I wore this on New Years with tights and boots and my bowler hat, we were just going to a pub so I didn't want to dress up too much. It's really loose and comfortable and I love the pattern.
I also picked up this little coin purse which was too adorable to leave behind.
I didn't buy this in a sale but I had to put it in. This is my Christmas present from my brother and sister and I'm in love with it. It's a Moonrise Kingdom bag from Society6 and it is my baby. I've wanted a bag from this site for so long and it took me forever to choose one but I finally narrowed it down to two styles and Grace had the final say. I'm really glad she chose this one because it goes with everything I own!
I didn't buy much really but I love the things I got and that's way better than buying loads of silly things! That being said there's still plenty of time for more shopping ;)
